Barb

This North African bred is second only to the Arabian as a foundation breed. Just like the Arabian, it is a dessert horse, but has two very different characteristics - appearance and demeanor. The barb is not as beautiful as other breeds, with a straight or sometime convex head profile, but it is one of the toughest and most enduring breeds in the world.
