Camargue:
This French breed is an ancient breed traditionally a mount for the French guardians, or cowboys. Not known as an attractive breed, they are strong backed and hard hoofed, and have good stamina. The walk is high stepping and long and the canter and gallop are extraordinarily free. Agile, sure-footed and courageous, the breed works best in the bull arenas.
