Mustang:

The Mustang, or Mestina - meaning a group or herd of horses - refers to the wild or semi-wild horses of Spanish decent that used to roam in great numbers in the Western United States. There can be no overall description of the Mustang due to a lack of registered breeding until the 1970's. There are now several societies established to preserve, improve, and promote the protected and endangered Mustang.
