Quarter Horse:
The Quarter Horse is the oldest all-American breed, though the Morgan Horse is the oldest documented breed. The Quarter Horse has a broad head with a small muzzle with a longer belly than back giving a chunky impression and compact symmetry to the outline. Heavy, muscular quarters are a distinctive feature to the breed and this produced one of the best short distance race horse breeds. The Quarter Horse is best known in for agility, speed, balance making it a great "cow pony".
