Since the domestication of the horse about 5,000 to 6,000 years ago, the world has utilized the horse for many useful purposes. The working horse has helped civilizations transport people and supplies, plow fields, haul lumber and machinery, and so much more. These horses were breed to be stocky and strong to carry out the tasks of pulling large loads.
